Flag Purchase
All American and POW/MIA flags sold by the Post are made in the United States, and the profits support American Legion veterans programs. We have 3' X 5' polyester/cotton American flags for $30 and 3' X 5' POW/MIA flaggs for $25. To purchase your next flag please contact us at info@alpost25az.org or call 928-634-3004. As an alternative, you may purchase any size flag at the American Legion Emblem Sales website. However, during the Checkout process please designate Post 25 in Arizona to receive a portion of the proceeds.
Flag at Half Staff
The American Flag will be flown at half staff on the following days each year: Peace Officers Memorial Day (May 15), Memorial Day (from sunrise until noon), National Korean War Veterans Armistice Day (July 27), Patriot Day (September 11), National Firefighters Memorial Day (usually the first Sunday in October), and Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day (December 7).
For flags that cannot be lowered such as those on many homes, a black ribbon or streamer should be attached to the top of the flag as an acceptable alternative. The ribbon should be the same width as a stripe on the flag and the same length as the flag. The black ribbons are available for purchase at the American Legion Emblem Sales website.
Flag Retirement Drop Box
To submit a worn, torn, or faded flag for retirement, contact us at info@alpost25az.org or 928-634-3004. Alternately, flags may be placed in the Unserviceable U.S. Flags Drop Box in front of Post 25 building, 480 S. Calvary Way, Cottonwood, AZ 86326. Flags are retired in accordance with the American Legion Unserviceable Flag Ceremony.

POW/MIA Flag
National POW/MIA Day is on the third friday of September each year. The POW/MIA flag will be flown on the grounds or the public lobbies of major military installations as designated by the U.S. Secretary of Defense, all Federal National Cemeteries, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the White House, the United States Post Offices and at official offices of the Secretaries of State, Defense and Veterans Affairs, and Director of the Selective Service System. Civilians are free to fly the POW/MIA flag whenever they wish.
